Cathedral Garage MOT Station in Chichester

If you want to be verbally abused, this is the place to go. As pre-arranged on the phone, I travelled 16 miles to drop off a small tyre to have a replacement tube fitted. A pleasant enough employee accepted the tyre and assured me it would be ready within two hours while I took some visitors around the Chichester.
I called in 2 hours later to collect the tyre. The tall scrawny proprietor was in deep personal conversation with his friend and, whilst he knew I was there, he totally ignored me for about 5 minutes. When he finally deigned to speak to me, I asked for the tyre only to receive the blunt response “it’s not ready, come back in half an hour” without a word of apology. When I replied that this was no good to me as I had people waiting in the car, I was met with an ill-mannered and off-hand “Oh take it away then”. When I then reconsidered and said that I would leave it and come back another day, I received further verbal abuse, so I took the tyre and found another garage with staff who had some manners.
Clearly “Customer Service” is not a concept that Cathedral Garage recognises. What an awful advertisement for Chichester. (I only gave one star because there is no facility for zero stars!)

Terrible garage, haven't got a clue about mechanics and absolutely wing it!! Always ask for a second opinion because if you don't you will end up losing money and or having to take to another garage to get fixed again, properly. Simon the owner hasn't got a clue about car mechanics. Avoid like the plague unless you want to be ripped off and lose money!!! Would give 0 stars if was an option. Trading standards were called and they said that this wasn't the first call they have had about them!! GO ELSEWHERE!!!
