Able Bathing and Building Contractors Ltd in Leeds

In 2010 Able Bathing supplied and fitted a walk in disabled shower room for me. In September, 2013 my living room ceiling collapsed due to a water leak that had been there since day 1. It was discovered that due to poor workmanship the shower had been fitted incorrectly, leaving a 2" unsealed gap around two sides of the shower , allowing copious amounts of water to fall onto the ceiling below. The bathroom tile adhesive had been allowed to go" off" for too long and the work men's fix for that was to try and stick the tiles on with an S of silicone, 3 little blobs of silicone or no silicone at all, just sheer gravity. Therefore they were actually held on with grout only. When the wet room floor was lifted, the waterproof lining had been compromised and it was soaking underneath the waterproof membrane and many of my floorboards had gone rotten!. I rang Able Bathing in September to see what they were going to do about it as it is classed as " plumbing" and you are not covered by insurance for plumbing work when you have a leak? I am however covered by the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, however it is now February and after many, many, many phone calls, texts, promises and broken promises by their Director Mr Martin Beckitt I am still waiting for any sort of outcome or assistance or compensation. I have had Independant reports and have photographs to back up all the above. Able bathing don't care, they are obviously too busy or just unprofessional! They say they care but actions speak louder than words and surely after 18 weeks you think they would have sorted something out for me. I had to live at my fathers for several weeks because I had no disabled facilities at home. Mr Beckitt, who seems to be a vey nice man ( is not professional and he doesn't keep his word I), was having a meeting on Thursday last week to finally sort everything out, once and for all... and... I'm still waiting for his phone call and it's now late Monday afternoon. Please bear this in mind if you do choose this company, that way you won't be disappointed. Their customer service and after sales service is non existent, they are slick talkers, quick to install your bathroom and take your cash but your on your own if you have a problem. I am one very unhappy customer and felt I needed to put my side of the picture. Obviously these are my own personal views and I am sure you realise that I certainly would not recommend this company.
