KD Carpets (Horsforth) in Horsforth, Leeds

We paid nearly £900 for new hall stairs and landing carpet from KD Carpets to do up our house. A couple of weeks before the carpets went down we had the same areas professionally decorated at a cost of £600 and all the skirting boards were properly finished in gloss. Looked wonderful. The fitter came and fitted the carpet, no complaints with the carpet but our newly painted skirting boards are now damaged and lots of paint chips knocked off. I don't expect damage to be caused to my house when fitting a carpet. What's even more infuriating is that they came out to look at the damage and just said that it was caused by the carpet having rubbed against the skirts and not any neglect by the fitter! They then tried to say the decorator had done a shoddy job. They washed their hands of any responsibility and quite clearly think it's ok to ruin a persons skirting boards. Now having to have decorator back in to sort it out, all at my expense. Never again will I use KD Carpets and neither should you, terrible service.
