Diane Hair International Group in Cambridge

This is my experience of Diane Hair International, now trading from her home address in Cambourne (from her crowded conservatory) I went to her for in interim wig to wear while waiting for a replacement integrated (attached) hair system to arrive.

Diane sold me a wig that she said was a premium quality wig, but she miscut the fringe. I went elsewhere to get it fixed as she was so erratic - she couldn't add up 2 numbers when writing out the receipt, tried to sell me a topper (a wig that only covers the crown area of a head) when it wasn't big enough to cover my hair loss or stay on, kept offering me wigs that were nothing like the style and colour I was looking for and gave me completely the wrong advice about looking after the wig. She also told me she only takes cash after she cut the wig so I had to get money out on my credit card to pay for it.

When I found out that the wig was not an expensive one, I spent many hours researching wigs, on the phone speaking to other salons & wig manufacturers and driving around visiting other stylists to show them the wig and get their opinion of it. Diane refused to admit that she miscut the wig, or that the wig was not of the quality she said it was and that no one else was qualified enough to give their opinion of the wig. Every person I spoke to who sold/made wigs was horrified at her attitude and behaviour and gave the opinion that the wig was a bog-standard wig not worth £425 and wearing badly. Even when she finally gave me a brand and model, it was a wig that sells for as little as £135 and she charged £425. The brand that other stylists thought it might be sells for a similar price for the same construction.

When we went back to her after sending her 3 letters that she refused to initially accept and sign for, she wouldn't listen to anything we had to say, had her sister-in-law there to interrupt and heckle me, then tried to force me to stay in her house (after ordering us to leave) so she could take a photo of me in the wig and only allowed me to leave when she realised I had taken the wig off -- I walked out into the street without anything on my head. I hadn't done that for over 20 years and was shaking and in tears. She was completely unprofessional, unscrupulous, and incompetent and dragged out my complaint for 3 months instead of dealing with it quickly.

I personally cannot recommend her services to anyone.
