Give the poor man a break. He passed away 2 years ago.
He was a good builder

Mike did work for me 10 years ago. At present I am having an extension by another building contractor, who have had to uncover the work Mike has done. All I can say after viewing it is that it is appalling! There was no cement put between the bricks - they were literally just stacked on top of each other and bit of slate to fill in the gaps. A girder had been put in to support the upper floor which was nowhere near adequate and would not have passed building regulations if he had bothered to contact them.
