Dr Hazel Drury
I agree entirely with Bethan E and much more. As an ex patient with all the hard documentary evidence in my possession, failed to read an ECG correctly,(confirmed in writing by consultant cardiologist), failed to diagnose type 2 diabetes in 2 years of care? (discovered in 2 weeks by a competent clinician after urgent transfer by Patient Data Services to a new practice), failed to understand the clinical implications of a high BNP blood test in a fully treated warfarinised cardiac patient of some 6 years (reference Clinical Guidance NICE and Patient. UK) ^ years of my records crucial and critical records went missing at the surgery, which magically reappeared Ahem once complaint made. Was rude calling me a liar, failed to make a timely referral to a cardiologist on the basis that he/she was too busy with other patients to be bothered whilst during normal surgery was playing around on the internet. Documentary absolute proof available. Broke the confidences extended by the patient of the consulting room in writing on a referral letter publicly seen by unqualified hospital clerical staff.
Under his/her own admission and authorship in the public domain, this doctor is transgender. Under the Transgender Protection Act 2004, this doctor must have a diagnosed psychological disorder (Gender Protection Act 2004 Section 3 sub sections 1, 2 and 3).
Has disrespect for patients. In my experience ALWAYS arrives late for morning surgery at least by half an hour after patients have been given appointments. Refers to patients in the public domain on an accessible professionals forum/website as mere punters even on the surgery website.
I am very glad that the Registrar moved me to another practice and demonstrated just how medical care really should be.
Long waits after been given an appointment time, mis-diagnoses, no bedside manner for either patient, parent or concerned grand-parents. Shame that members of the practice are being dragged down with this surgery. The receptionists are nice, one in particular but the doctor and nurse are out of touch and most certainly out of practice.
