Starplan in Portadown, Craigavon

I have purchased furniture/beds from Starplan for a number of years, and have always been more than satisfied with both the quality of Starplan products, and the professional, efficient service of those who delivered/built in my products. However, just today (Wednesday 3rd December 2014) I have taken receipt of a single bed/mattress and two sets of Starplan bookcases, and while the quality of the products seems to be of the similarly high standard of workmanship I have come to recognise at Starplan - the delivery service, or lack of same, has left me much less than satisfied. Two Starplan delivery men came to my home, carried the single bed/mattress into the small bedroom I have redecorated, and left them and the bookcases propped against the wall. The six small feet I had painstalkingly ordered from Starplan were not delivered, only six castors which I had already informed Starplan staff were not suitable for my flooring. When I asked the delivery men if they would build the bed, they informed me in quite a bluff manner, 'We don't build beds, you will have to build it yourself. We have no bed feet/gliders, you will have to contact the Starplan Shop and get them to send them to you.' They then walked out, left my garden gate wide open, got in the Starplan lorry, and drove off. I feel like I have purchased a flat-pack product, and am left looking at it laid against my freshly wall-papered wall! I expected much more from Starplan - but it goes to show, nothing stays the same. Disgruntled Starplan Customer, Portadown.
