Ian Guthrie (Montrose) in Montrose

I was visiting Montrose from Edinburgh for 24 hours and my car suddenly had a pretty major fault partway through our visit. When we phoned Ian Guthrie at around 2pm on a Friday afternoon, they agreed to see us immediately (even midway through a Friday which I cannot imagine was a quiet time for them!), and did everything they could to run diagnostics and try to fix the issue. Although it wasn't fixable immediately - and we decided to phone AA to take the car back home since the service would take at least a couple of days - they honestly did everything they could, and the only constraints that prevented them from fixing it were the ridiculous lack of notice we gave them, and the size of the issue which couldn't be dealt with before we needed to drive back to Edinburgh the next day. They were incredibly kind, helpful and down-to-earth (I know nothing about cars and they didn't make me feel bad at all for my lack of knowledge!), and I honestly cannot recommend them enough, to everyone looking for a garage with incredible expertise and excellent customer service.
