Sitting Pretty Chair Cover Co in Castledawson, Magherafelt

We used Sitting Pretty Chair Cover Co for our wedding at larchfield estate which is near Lisburn, an amazing venue, beautiful gardens, perfect location. Sitting Pretty had the job of installing a starlight dance floor, a backdrop with fairy lights and a backdrop for an archway leading into the main function room. On the night before the wedding I received a message at around 11pm that I must pay the full cost or they wouldn't turn up to install the dance floor & furnishings. They demanded I make a bank transfer & also take a photo of the bank transfer & send it to them to prove I made the transfer. On the day of the wedding another company we were using for flowers & other decorations warned us to take a look in the main hall, on inspection we found firstly they didn't install the backdrop over the archway, which we paid for, the dance floor was totally covered with black shoe prints and the main back drop behind the main wedding table was filthy, it looked like a mechanic had cleaned his hands on it. It took a lot of work to disguise all the filthy marks, we were not succesful. The owner has promised us a partial refund of £150 which he still hasn't paid, he told us another company setup everything at our wedding and something about a car or van driving over the backdrop. I don't think he is ever going to refund, I'm weighting this review to warn people who are thinking of using this company, be warned ! Your wedding is 1 of the most important days of your life, this company should be avoided at all costs.

If I could give a negative rating I would. DO NOT use this company. I had a similar horrible experience with sitting pretty but luckily my bridesmaid made me see the warning signs and we managed to get another company last minute to do our decorations as we were worried that Darran wouldn't turn up at all to Larchfield Estate. I don't think he had any intentions to- a month before the wedding I had heard nothing from him despite numerous calls & messages asking him to get in touch. When I told him we had gone with another company because of lack of communication he called me & promised me a full refund of the £300 I had already transferred to him. That was this time last year. Not a penny yet despite calls texts messages & submitting a small claim. This is just the worst experience I have ever had from a company I hope he is no longer in business & conning others! Beware!
