Interserve in Carlisle
Interserve
Having visited the infirmary recently, with my wife (just post op) who is not able to walk significant distances yet, we drove around the car park (several times) the overflow car park (ditto) the radiology car park, and the entire peripheral road way around the site for almost 45 minutes, and were thereby 15 mins late for her appointment with the consultant. I eventually pulled in to a just vacated space, in a layby opposite A&E entrance, (not causing any obstruction at all) and walked through to the main building. On return, I found a "warning notice" on my windscreen. for parking infringements. Your notice also states that staff parking is strictly forbidden, and yet the place seems full of staff permits, or hand written notes claiming "waiting for permit". As a service to people who may well be in a very vulnerable condition, I think it is very poor to say the least. In retrospect, I think that the two stars I gave you may have been over generous.
