Honeymoon Chinese Take Away in Highcliffe, Christchurch

I have eaten many takeaways but never as bad as this. Crispy Aromatic Duck has been verified as chicken. The crispy seaweed is just inedible along with the spare ribs (always thought meat was supposed to fall off bones) not from Honeymoon it doesn't. The special chow mein is so spicy hot yet again another inedible dish. Chow mein is not supposed to be spicy, perhaps someone should let them know. When I complained (politely I would add) all I got was a neurotic screaming man yelling at me. If you dare hope you get a better meal than I have. I do not recommend Honeymoon Chinese Take Away.

Absolutely awful service, they delivered our order with 2 dishes wrong and charged us the same, so I phoned to complain as my daughter was left with nothing she would eat and they said we could not have a refund but we could have our next meal half price, so I thought that was fair but when we rang to order the next time they point blank refused! Really out of order, would never use them again.

Wonderful takeaway! Food was not greasy as in many takeaways and it was absolutely amazing. The king prawns are to die for. Recommended

Been using this honeymoon for a while, but last
Had a take away from them last week. Always been very good in the past, but last time the pancake rolls were awful. The rest of the food was ok but was still very disappointed.

Service was ok but the prawns were really dry and the curry sauce was really runny, but overall it wasn't to bad.

Terrible service and dreadful food, took over an hour and half to deliver, and then when I called to complain about the food, they hung up on me.

I cannot understand the poor reviews this takeaway has received. We don't live in the area but we do visit several times every year and if we feel like a Chinese takeaway this is our place of choice. The food is always brilliant ( no flavour enhancers, minimal salt etc ) and it is always ready on time; you can tell it has been freshly cooked too. We have eaten their food lots of times and will continue to do so. It's as good as anywhere in our view.

Have always used when we lived in Highcliffe as lived around the corner. We now live in center of Xchurch so thought we would have a take out from them for old times sake....the bill came to over £10 more than our local (China Kitchen), when questioned she said we should check the menu before ordering!
To summarise nice enough food, poor service and over priced....China kitchen is much better with realistically priced food, last time we will be taking a trip down memory lane to Homeymoon.
